As a workspace for visual artists, FLACC creates the organisational, substantive, and technical conditions for realising a number of unique artist projects. To this end, FLACC selects up to eight artists annually – from home and abroad, young and experienced – to set up a new project, in which the artists can make unlimited use of their extensive facilities (oven, wood and metal workshops and the digital studio) and receive thorough substantive and organisational support during the preparation and realisation of the project. Each project is provided with an appropriate budget.

Type of residency

The call for a workplace project is open to all visual artists. Due to the diversity of the workshops, the call is for projects in various media and disciplines. FLACC focuses their projects with attention to artistic work, which questions the arts workshop or projects with an emphasis on experimentation. The work period is three months full-time or about 90 days divided over different periods in 2018. In addition to technical and organisational guidance, FLACC offers the artists an accommodation, a workplace, travel allowance and a small production budget. To submit an application, you can use the application form and the excel sheet (fill in the budget). The application must consist of an extensive project proposal, an accurately calculated budget, a (preferred) work period and CV (in word and image).

The different workshop facilities can also be rented at a reasonable price. Included in the rental price are the workspace and all available equipment and machines.
